Last night my friends have introduced me a short documentary named 10 Tahun. It is about the left wing merdeka's fighter life stories. This documentary objectives is to highlight the facts that the left wing also fought for our independences. Well overall, this documentary showed me the history's knowledge that i've could never obtain from the textbook. For example, I did not know that PKMM real Full name is "Parti Kebangsaan Melayu Malaya" and I also did not aware that 10'000 Malays who opposed the Federation constitution have been banished from Malaya at that time.
Besides, this documentary is so meaningful to me as the director a.k.a. Fahmi Reza has put all of his effort to make this film a reality. Although, it's a low budget film project, but it managed to catch my attention to watch it till the ends. The director has shown that he is a very creative and talented person, no CGI been used in this documentary, yet it still appeared to all my senses.
The director also has done some homework that help him to understand what is the left wing movement actually. He also have visited some left wing's personals and interviewed them about their struggle for Malaya's Independence. The personals have described their stories well and it really open my eyes toward the true meaning of 'Merdeka'. For me, this is the best documentary about our nation and it should be watch by all of our countrymen. Dude, wake up from the sweet dream, its time for us the youngster to do something to make our elders proud. Lets us prove, that we are a strong nation and nothing is impossible for us.
